Apple Pie Smoothie Recipe
An apple pie smoothie / protein shake recipe that will transport you to the Thanksgiving dessert table (minus the awkwardness from your family arguing at dinner)
INGREDIENTS
1/2 cup plant milk of choice
1/2 cup ice
1/2 cup apple sauce
3 slices Sautéed Cinnamon Apples
1/2 scoop vanilla wellious
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 Pinch Sea Salt
DIRECTIONS
Slice 3 apple slices. Heat a sauté pan on medium and add apples and sprinkle a few pinches cinnamon over them. Cook a minute on each side until lightly caramelized.
Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend.
Serve with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top, and enjoy!
Ok pumpkin pie, we get it, you’re the star. But let’s not forget about the CLASSIC fall staple… Apple Pie. Mission: make a smoothie that tastes like a frozen milkshake version of the inside of an apple pie. Mission successful. The recipe starts with caramelizing some apples (way simpler than it sounds) and ends with you chugging this protein shake because it’s so yummy. Luckily we made this fall staple pretty healthy. It’s just made with Wellious, apples, almond milk, and some spices… loaded with protein and fiber :) So don’t feel guilty about gobbling down the whole pie, I mean smoothie.
